Recruitment Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Nexal Technologies Ltd (“Nexal”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you apply for a role with us, and your rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

Who is responsible for your data

Nexal Technologies Ltd is the data controller for the information you provide when applying. We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales, registered office 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. You can contact us about your data at privacy@nexaltechnologies.com.

What we collect

When you apply, we collect the information you send us — typically your CV, a covering note, your name and contact details, and anything else you choose to include. If we take your application further we may also record interview notes and any references you provide.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your information to assess your application and to communicate with you about it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in recruiting for our business, and where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

If your application is unsuccessful and you agree, we may keep your details on file so we can contact you about future roles. Our lawful basis for that is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who processes it

Applications are sent to us by email and held in our business email and document storage. We do not share your application with anyone outside Nexal without your agreement.

How long we keep it

If your application is unsuccessful, we keep it for 12 months and then delete it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If you are appointed, your information becomes part of your employment record and is covered by a separate notice.

Your rights

Under the UK and EU GDPR you have the right to:

• Withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate data.
• Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Restrict or object to our processing.
• Portability, receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@nexaltechnologies.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Complaints

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or with your local supervisory authority in the EEA. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
